Santa Text

Back again with another card---

I started by watercoloring a background with distress inks and water.  I stamped the text stamp from Red Lead in Versafine Black Onyx.  I cut it with a decorative label die from Spellbinders, placed it on a white glitter card base and then added the "jolly" die cut from Lil' Inkers Designs.

Abstract Christmas Star

Good Evening!**

I've been hoarding cards again!  LOL

I'm "stuffed" from our Thanksgiving feast cooked by our son, had a nice long nap and now trying to get some blogging done.

I cut a frame mask from a rectangle die, masked off the outer edges of the cardstock.  Then, I used the abstract stencil from My Favorite things with Rose Red, Sweet Sugarplum and Pink Pirouette.  I stamped the sentiment with Sweet Sugarplum and Pink Pirouette.  The star dies are from Star of Light by Stampin' Up and cut from white glitter cardstock. A crystal gem finishes off the center.

For Following Challenges:

I used stamping, masking, die cuts, and sponging.

**My card was one of the "cut above" picks on Nov. 26, 2016!

4CC #326-Winter Wonderland

Happy Thursday!

Happy Thanksgiving America!

Today is a holiday here in America.  There will be lots of cooking and eating, watching Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, eating, watching NFL Football, eating, and in our house either some Catan or Trivial Pursuit, and more eating!

We will have a small gathering with just me, the Hubs, and our youngest son, Ben and our fur babies. Our older son and his wife are celebrating in Oklahoma with her family.  The Hubs had to work Thanksgiving holiday this year (which means the night before), so we are home.  And, this year I get to be a bit of a lady of leisure, as Ben has volunteered to do 95% of the cooking (except for the turkey)!  You'd think since he manages a sub shop the last thing he would want to do is cook.  He's got quite a spread planned too.  Of course, I'll be his "assistant" slicing and dicing and washing dishes here and there.

Of course you didn't come to hear about my festivities, so let me get on with it.

Today is also a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Lori is our hostess this week
 and
the theme
is
4CC#326 Winter Wonderland.

Here's what created...

Aren't these little yeti guys just adorable?  I had so much fun coloring them and fussy cutting them.  I stamped a bunch of them so there will be yetis to come!  LOL

Stamps:  BB Beast Friend (My Favorite Things), String of lights from Basket Add-On Stamps and Sweet Cuts (Paper Sweeties).
Paper:  Patterned paper (Recollections); white cardstock, vellum
Ink:  Black Tuxedo (Memento), Copics, Black Onyx (Versafine)
Extas: Clear emboss powder (on sentiment); Birch tree plate (Taylored Expressions)

Hop over to the 4 Crafty Chicks blog and check out my teamies' projects for more inspiration.  Then link up your own winter wonderland to share with us!

4CC- #325 Fabric

Good Morning!

It's Thursday ---

Time for a new challenge at  4 Crafty Chicks!

Tamie is our hostess today and she has chosen fabric as the theme for this week.

I have to admit it took me a bit to figure out what to do for my project. Then, I came upon this floral/fawna material and voila!

Stamps: Give Thanks (Reverse Confetti).
Paper: Kraft & Brown cardstock.
Ink: Black Onyx (Versafine).
Extras: Label die (Paper Sweeties); Leaf die (Sweet & Sassy); Rectangle stitched die (Lil Inkers Designs); Emboss folder (Carta Bella); clear gems fabric.

Stop over the 4CC Blog and check out the rest of the Hens' projects.  They're fabulous!  Then go link up and share your projects with us using fabric.

There are some super cute stamps this month!  For my "sneak peek" I decided to entice you just a little.  How adorable are those gum drops?  I got a little inspiration from the movie, "Elf" to make a gum drop wonderland.  I used a sentiment from the Ho Ho Ho stamp set.
