You & Me

Good Monday Morning!

Hope all had a wonderful weekend!

Today is Pink Elephant Day ---

Theme Challenge:

"L♡VE" Theme

Make a L♡VE project!

Here is my card:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Chevron background (Recollections); Sentiment -Friendship (Fiskars); Heart stamped on turquoise (Hero Arts)
PAPER: White cardstock; Citrus Teal (Coredinations); Cotton Candy (Bazzil); Raspberry, Dark pink, red cardstock (stash); Black velvet specialty paper; DP-Yours Truly (Pebbles).
INK: Love Letter Red (Momento); Teal (Hampton Art); Versamark; black emboss powder.
EXTRAS: Postage stamp die (Simon Says); Arrow die (Taylored Expressions); Tipsy hearts die (Sizzix); Heart emboss folder (Darice); Woodgrain emboss folder on pink heart (Darice); embossed die heart on black velvet (Sizzix); Lip die from Love M'tache (Taylored Expressions); Black paper twine (Darice); Red heart sequins.

I used lots and lots of hearts.  I tried using hearts I have accumulated in my die stash, but wound up having to cut a few more.  My goal this year is to try and use more of my accumulated stash of dies I've cut in the past and tossed aside as well as to use more of my cardstock scraps.

I also used lots of new things too!  The background paper is a new set for me as is the stamp used on the turquoise heart, the arrow and lip dies, the postage stamp die, the heart sequins and the paper twine.  As I mentioned in a previous post, I made many new purchases this new year and having lots of fun trying them all out!

My inspiration came from my scrap stash of hearts in pink, red and turquoise and loved how they went so well with the background paper.  I had a scrap of the chevron I had stamped for something else and didn't use and again, loved how it looked with these colored hearts.  I also used the sketch at CASEthissketch to bring it all together.  I like the finished product alot!

Don't forget to stop by The Pink Elephant Challenge and check out my fellow DT members' projects and leave them some blog luv!

And link up your project so we can see your L♡VE projects this week!

I'm entering this card in these challenges:

Blessings of Love!

Postcards of Love

Happy Saturday!

An early post this morning!  Haven't crafted much in the last couple days.  Been sorting through my craft stuff (again)!   I did some shopping earlier in the week and got some new supplies (again)!  LOL

Now I'm ready to sit down and get some actual cards done!

I love how this card turned out.  I used inspiration from the theme and photo at Curtain Call this week.  I've been wanting to play over there for some time and it just hasn't happened until now.

I even did some stitching, which I haven't done for a while. Not so straight but I think it goes along with the shabbiness feel of the card.  Going to have to stitch more often and practice!

Here's my card:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Postcard (TPC Studio); Song lyric - Valentine Doodles (Taylored Expressions).
PAPER: Red and white cardstock; DP - Yours Truly (Pebbles).
INK: Graphite Black, Ladybug  Red (Momento). Lipstick Red Copic.
EXTRAS: Red heart and arrows (Taylored Expressions); "love" die (Paper Smooches); "you" die (Simon Says); Blue hearts (Sizzix); notebook border punch (EK Success); pink doily (Doodlebug); Black paper cord (Darice); button; mini closepin; stitching.

So I'm hoping to have a very productive Saturday of finishing up several DT projects and other things.  So stop back by later this evening or tomorrow to see what's new!

Weekend Blessings!

To Love and Be Loved...

Happy Hump Day!

It's finally at least feeling like winter in the Triangle!  While everyone else is pretty much buried in snow, we have a smathering here and there on lawns or rooftops.   This is not snow. This is a sneeze!  Growing up in WV and the Hubs growing up in Michigan, we were used to snowy, cold winters.  We've been in NC for 10 years now and miss having at least one really nice snowstorm every winter. We love it here in the Triangle of NC --- 2 hours from the mountains and beach, both, and not having really long winters, but it would be nice to have some REAL snow once a year.  Last decent snowfall we can remember here was back in 2010 when we got about 7 inches in one storm.   Oh well, I digress.

I've made some more Valentine cards and trying to post some of them today.  Here is one:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Sunburst from Grunge Cirque (Tim Holtz); Heart (Hero Arts Cling); Butterfly (7 Gypsies/Hampton Art); Sentiment (Impression Obsession).
PAPER: White cardstock.
INK: Rose Bud, Grape Jelly & Toffee Crunch (Momento).
EXTRAS: White pearls.

The heart stamp is one of a set of four and one of my new purchases.  I love them all.  I have another card to post showcasing another one of the hearts.  They had a great color combo over at CAS-Colour and Sketches this week.  One of my favorites!  So you know I had to play!

Hump Day Blessings!

So Sweet! ~ TPE #234

Good Morning Monday!

And

Happy Martin Luther King Day

here in the U.S.!

Another good thing about Monday ---

is a Color Challenge --

Use Red, Pink and a color of your choice!

Valentine's Day is coming up

so I'm busy making

Valentines:

SPIES:

STAMPS:  Bear Digital Image (Beary Dust Designs); Candy and Sentiment-(Technique Tuesday).
PAPER: Brown, red and white cardstock.  DP - Sweetheart (Doodlebug Design).
INK: Tuxedo Black (Momento); Versamark; Copics; white emboss powder.
EXTRAS: Scallop circle Framelit (Sizzix); Basic circle Framelit (Sizzix); Pennant die (Taylored Expressions); Glossy Accents; pink baker's twine.

I chose brown as my other color for my card for TPE this week.  When I saw the pattern paper with candy all over it, I knew I wanted to use my candy stamps.  So that's where it grew!  The digital image I used is one I've had in my stash for quite a while.  I haven't used it probably since right after I got it.

I added Glossy Accents to all the candy pieces.  After I stamped and colored them they just looked a little drab, so I decided to brighten them up.  The "Smartie" candy strip has a more 3D look to it, just hard to see in the photo.  I also put a drop on the hearts above the image.

So stop on over to

and see what wonderful projects

the rest of

the Design Team

has made for your inspiration!

Then, using the above  color theme,

share  your projects with us!

We love to have you play along!

I'm trying out new challenges this year

and so

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

It's Never Too Late

Good evening!  What a Wednesday!  A nice mild day in the 50s here in the Triangle of NC. The Hubs and I took the dogs out to not 1, but 2 parks and had a picnic.  We even treated them to cheeseburgers and frostys!

In keeping with the nice weather, I have a bright and cheery card this evening:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Background design (October Afternoon); Seal (Jenni Bowlin); Girl image (Jenni Bowlin); heart stamp (Recollections).
PAPER: White, navy and red cardstock.
INK: Tuxedo Black (Momento); Mustard (Staz On); Paris Dusk (Momento); red emboss powder.
EXTRAS: Red baker's twine.

I didn't realize until I was finished that this card is pretty much all stamping, except for the twine.  The background stamp is new, I got it just before Christmas and haven't had a chance to use it until now.  The seal or pinked circle stamp is also fairly new, blog candy from The Paper Girls Blog Hop this past fall, and I hadn't used it until now either.  I love how it turned out!  I was originally going to put a sentiment inside but then, I saw my set of hearts sitting on my desk and used one of them instead!    The twine is glued onto the heart and then I pierced 2 holes around the girl image and slipped it through the holes.  This card may just find itself hanging in my own craft studio for myself!

For Following Challenges:

Sunshine Blessings!
