Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Happy Hump Day!
Today I'm taking part in the Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Lots of us crafty bloggers share the same obsession and LOVE for coffee and crafting.  So, a fellow crafter-blogger-friend, Amy Tsuruta, of Tsuruta Designs, has put together this fabulous Blog Hop for anyone and everyone who loves coffee and crafting!  A HUGE thanks goes out to Amy for organizing and arranging the hop and for getting 25 fabulous sponsors for it, all of whom are offering super prizes!

I missed the original Coffee Lover's Blog Hop so I'm pumped (dangerously so with caffeine) for this one!

How the hop works:

Make a holiday/coffee themed project, stop over at Tsuruta Designs to link it up and be eligible for sponsor prizes.  You can link up more than one project, just link them separately.  Deadline for linking your projects is Friday, Dec. 12th at 11:55 pm PST.  The actual Hop continues through Sunday, December 14th so you can hop and comment on everyone's posts.

Then, hop along to the other blogs linked up and check out everyone's holiday/coffee related projects. Many of us are offering blog candy on our own blogs, so make sure you leave a comment also, complete with your contact info, if you want to be eligible for even more great prizes from fellow blog hoppers!

Here is my project I've created:

I got the coffee cup template at The Cutting Cafe.  Since I don't have a Silhouette (on my Xmas list!), I cut everything out by hand.  The patterned paper I got at Hobby Lobby in Myrtle Beach.  It's by The Paper Studio.  I scored lines across the red patterned paper to give it more depth.  I used a sentiment stamp from Fiskars and a basic oval die and scallop oval die both from Spellbinders.  The red ink is Simon Says, Ruby Lipstick, I think.  I added some kraft twine around the lid with a red button, then tied two red jingle bells on the ends.  The final touch was a snowflake button with a red enamel dot center.  As you see below, I decorated the gift bag the same.

I decided to offer up some blog candy too.  One lucky person, who comments below, will receive this little gift bag of goodies AND the matching card I created for the hop!  Just comment below and be sure and leave your contact info.  I will select the winner randomly once the hop has ended on Sunday, December 14th.

After I decided to do some blog candy, I realized somethin ---I don't have any blog candy type things.  So, while I was out at Target, I saw these flavored drink sticks and cocoa mix.  Who doesn't like a little hot chocolate and candy beverage sticks around the holidays?  Then, while I was at Michaels, I saw these coffee/donut stickers and I found some pastel enamel dots to match.  So, if you want a chance to win this goody bag, leave me a comment with your contact info!

I decided to make a little gift bag for all the goodies.  Now, I have to admit, I'm not much of one to create my own packaging.  Practice makes perfect, right?  I've got a ways to go.  I suppose since I have a house full of men who don't care for such things, I've never really done much creating of the outer package.  Give me a store bought gift bag and bow or fringe and I'm good to go!  lol  The kraft bag here alone was store bought.  I added the patterned paper and embellishments.

And here is what it will all look like together:

These goodies could all be yours!

So, grab that Cup of Joe, create, link-up and hop!  It's going to be super fun and inspiring!

I'm loving the big bow of twine, and that adorable snowflake embellishment. Really great design work here! And maybe you should make your own packaging more often because it's top notch!
